Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy have composed songs for High School Musical 2.

There's good news for those who can’t wait for High School Musical 2 to release in India. The sequel to High School Musical, which will be called High School Musical 2: School’s Out!, might see a December release in India and this time Troy Bolton and Vanessa Hudgens will be mouthing Hindi dialogues.

The musical trio of Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy have composed three songs for the promotion of the Hindi version of the film.

And while this isn’t the first time our desi composers have gone global, the trio are delighted to be a part of this project. “The music of the film is rocking,” said an excited Shankar Mahadevan. The songs have been sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and remixed by DJ Suketu. “We composed Aaja Nachle, Ud Chale and Chhoti Si for the film. Since the target audience is youth, the music is very young,” says Mahadevan.

So is there something bigger in their offing? Like composing for Broadway maybe? “We’d love to compose for Broadway provided they approach us,” says Mahadevan.
