Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan went to Manoj Kumar’s house to personally apologize for the spoof on the veteran in their film Om Shanti Om .The move came just a day after Manoj Kumar said in an interview that he was considering legal option to sue the makers of OSO for spoofing him in a sequence in the film.
Yash Chopra , another Bollywood veteran, apparently played the mediator and sought an appointment with Manoj Kumar on Tuesday.
While Manoj Kumar was expecting only Yash Chopra, he was surprised to see Shah Rukh, his wife Gauri and Farah Khan accompanying Chopra on the visit on Tuesday evening.
It was clear that SRK had come to apologize to Manoj Kumar.
“Shah Rukh did try apologizing and I told him, if you even say sorry, I will be angry,” Manoj Kumar is quoted as saying in a media report.
The meeting lasted for more than two hours during which they all laughed and joked and caught up on old times. They also recited some poetic couplets and shared a few anecdotes.
Kumar told SRK that even though he was of his son’s age, he saw SRK as his brother.
On the parting note, SRK promised Kumar he would visit again.
Meanwhile, Farah Khan has said the ‘Manoj Kumar sequence’ in OSO will not be chopped as the issue has been sorted out.
