Hrithik Roshan wont dub for Hanuman returns

It was recently reported that Hrithik Roshan would dub for the voice of Hanuman in the English version of ‘The Return of Hanuman ’. But now that doesn’t seem to be the case.

“Hrithik was keen on doing the dubbing however he is in Singapore at the moment undergoing knee surgery,” says Shailendra Singh, Joint MD Percept Holdings. “He is taking some time to revert and unfortunately the cut off date is close. So we just might take someone else.”

Apart from the English version, Hrithik was also rumored to have been roped in for the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions as well. Singh reverts, “If he agrees then Hrithik will do the dubbing for the English version. In Hindi he was only to dub the part where Hanuman is grown up.”

And what about the regional languages? Would Hrithik dub for that as well? “No, we decided against it. We also haven’t taken any known regional actors either. If Kamal Haasan dubs for Hanuman then people will relate to the actor rather than with God. We have some fantastic voices that have done the dubbing”, explains Singh.

Hrithik’s next release is scheduled to be Ashutosh Gowarikar ’s historical Jodhaa Akbar opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
